This photograph was exhibited during G44 Centre For Contemporary Photography’s 2018 annual members (365) show, and was featured on the Physical Grain website.

The photograph was taken on a hot and steamy July 2017 day in Toronto, so I was in a rush to finish up shooting; but as I was hurriedly exiting Allan Gardens, I glimpsed this lovely leaf sitting in a corner of the greenhouse and quickly took the shot then ran out the door.

After developing the film, I was amazed to see the details on the leaf, that reminded me of looking at cells under a microscope, which may have been a result of me serendipitously forgetting to remove the green lens filter.
